New PU 14R in production

After the successful launching of the PU 8R in March 2008 and the PU 10R in June, the PU 14R is now available as well.

The PU 14R section has a thickness of 11.0 mm in the flange, and as the other U-sections, it can be rolled up and down by 1.0 mm to result in the PU 15R and the PU 13R. The PU 14R range is available in all steel grades of EN 10248, from S 240 GP to S 430 GP, in lengths up to 24,0 m. The sheet piles can be paired and crimped on request.

One noteworthy feature is the 675 mm width of the single pile. It lies between the 600 mm wide PU sections, which are quite narrow and ideal for temporary applications where the sheets will be reused, and the 750 mm wide AU sections, which have proven to be an excellent U-shape for permanent applications, especially when watertightness of the wall is paramount. Experts from the industry that were contacted during the development phase of the PU-R range confirmed that this feature is a good compromise for such a sheet pile which is bound tot be utilized in temporary as well as in permanent applications.
